I really consider Bridgetown and Eleventy to be the friendliest of rivals, and Zach is a genuinely awesome human. This whole thread is worth looking through, but the point I’d like to make is—same as Eleventy—one of the promises of Bridgetown is we won’t inject CSS, JavaScript, or anything else into your production website without your knowledge or permission. Every single line of HTML which gets built and deployed comes from templates you can inspect and modify in your own site repo. This is something I think is vitally important and an aspect of web frameworks every developer should consider as they evaluate the options available to them.
